Built around vocals, TENAX also offers presets and Smart Set profiles for guitars, bass, drums, piano, synths, and buses.

Shape your sound

• Light, Heavy, and Custom control: Choose a starting point, then dial in compression with Amount.

• Curve & Color: Explore Classic, Soft, Punch, Firm, and Custom curves. Customize threshold, ratio, knee, and makeup, then add Tube, Tape, or Edge coloration.

• Tone and vocal cleanup: Shape Warmth, Body, and Air. Control harshness, sibilance, and breaths independently.

• Smart Set: Analyze a representative passage and review suggested settings for ten source types. Optional filters, cleanup, and coloration keep you in control.

• Flexible processing quality: Choose Zero Latency for tracking or 2x, 4x, and 8x oversampling.

• Useful visual feedback: Input/output meters, clipping indicators, gain reduction, and adjustable live-envelope history from 1 to 30 seconds.

A smoother workflow

Explore 80 built-in factory presets in an organized, filterable browser. Save your own sounds directly to User presets, import .Tenax files, or save an additional copy wherever you choose.

A/B comparison, Undo/Redo, parallel Mix, Level Match, direct value entry, and hover tooltips help you make confident decisions.

Version 1.0.2 adds a dedicated Custom button, expanded Smart Set sources, adjustable envelope history, improved preset saving and importing, and refined interface details.

Compatibility and activation

Windows 64-bit. Includes VST3 and standalone formats, selectable during installation. VST3 use requires a compatible host.

Tenax now also supports AU format for MAC OS. 

An Altyrian TENAX license and internet access are required for activation and periodic verification. Offline use is limited to seven days after successful verification. Automatic update checks provide a clear notice when a new version is available.
